(I love friends who like to have fun...like going on a crocodile cruise in Costa Rica with me.)
(Thankfully, no one thought it would be fun to thrown me overboard.)
I'd like to thank Arlee Bird for organizing the A-Z Challenge! I've chosen a topic for the entire month. Since I write for younger children and we are doing the ABC's I thought I'd do The ABC's of A Good Friend (and throw in a few random pictures, because I have a bit of a photo addiction).
~F~
Have you ever had a friend who didn't want to do anything you wanted to do? Not so much fun, huh? Or a friend who is always complaining?? I like friends who are fun to be with. I think it's important that you like to do fun things together...it's great when they make you stretch yourself. (Some of you might remember my post about singing at karaoke bar with some friends.) Some other qualities I think are important are that friends are faithful...through good times and bad. They are fair to everyone. I wouldn't want a friend that treated me really well, but treated someone else poorly. I like being around people who laugh and smile....being happy is important for your mental health, so having a friend who is funny is a bonus.
What "F" words describe your friends??? (Keep it clean people! I'll delete you if you're naughty.)
You covered "F" perfectly, Sharon!! :-)
ReplyDeleteFortuitous.
ReplyDeleteNot that I prefer people who've known good fortune. Rather, I catch myself thinking how fortunate I am to have the friends I do.
What are the odds that we would meet and befriend the people we do? Pretty big world, and even via the 'net, we've little time and small reach.
Glad to have you as my friend, Sharon.
Best,
Joe

How can you set us up like that and then threaten us with deletion?
ReplyDeleteI like a friend with some zing so I would go with flamboyant (spelling?)

The first word that came to mind was "fastidious," although that's not something I expect of my friends. I've been enjoying your alphabet posts. :)
ReplyDeleteNaughty "F" things to do with a friend:
ReplyDeleteFast Food Flybys
Fruitcake Destruction
Funky Hairdo's

ReplyDeleteLove the pictures.
ReplyDeleteFurry! My best friends are furry. That includes my man lol
ReplyDeleteHi Sharon,
ReplyDeleteAn interesting posting on the letter 'F'. You know, the more I read these blogs each day, going through the alphabet, the more I think about 'Sesame Street', 'today's episode is brought to you by the letter 'F'.
And 'F' to describe my friends. Best not say :)
I wish to thank 'Arlee Bird' for giving me the inspiration for doing my own 'Alphabet Challenge' posting.
Hope you are well Sharon and keep smiling :)
In kindness, Gary.
Okay, that's just scary! I had a scene in my last book where a croc came after the hero. This is bringing back research memories.
ReplyDeleteYes, friends should definitely be fun. Like those that will play Balderdash with you. :)
ReplyDeleteFRANK! I love people who are candid and honest when I ask them questions. Sometimes I'm so absent-minded or distracted by the movies in my head ... my closest friends have always been those willing to tell me the truth without sugar-coating it! Lizzy Ford
ReplyDeletefearless fruitcakes!

I love crocs and gators, they totally amaze me! You write the cutest posts!
ReplyDeleteI would say my friends have FUNKY personalities. They are different and quirky, dare I say, weird like me?
:)
Yes: Fun, faithful, fantastic!
ReplyDeleteNo: frugal, frumpy, frenzied, freeloader.
BTW, I'm celebrating your Nicetude on my blog today. :)
ReplyDeleteI look for faithful. They don't have to be perfect, just faithful.
