I'm not an early riser.
But when Katherine asked if we could get up to watch the sun rise over the Caribbean Sea, what could I say?
We all got up at 5:45 and were out on the beach by 6:30.
It was a bit cloudy, but it was worth it. LOVELY!
Foot prints in the sand...
Toes in the sand...
Some resort wildlife.
Some beach wild life... (Not me)
This is something we saw on our trip...What do you think it is?
Have an awesome rest of the week and weekend!
Oooh it looks stunning.
ReplyDeleteIs it scales on a fish?
:-)
I love the pictures! I so want to visit! The orange thing is a purse, right? That or some strange kind of fungus. I'm going with purse. =)
ReplyDeleteHoly beautiful views! You're in paradise, Sharon. Wow. And I think I'll guess the weird thing is the outside of a plant or tree. ??
ReplyDeleteWow. Just...wow.
ReplyDeleteThat is a magnificent sunrise. Definitely worth getting up for. I have no idea what that is but it look a bit like a goldfish or a snake.
ReplyDeletebeautiful photos!! My brother has been to the DR. So incredible!! Enjoy. And, I don't know what that photo is: maybe a closeup of the side of a house or a walkway???

Those are beautiful pictures! I can't really tell what it is in the last one . . . but I'm thinking it's some kind of fabric.

One of our favourite trips ever was to the DR. Looks like you're having a fantastic time!
ReplyDeleteI'll take a wild guess and say tire tracks on the beach reflecting the sky?
Cool! I love these pics. I was planning on going to the DR for my 10th wedding anniversary, and these photos just put me over the edge.
ReplyDeleteIs it a snake? Very cool.
I'm not normally a fan of waking up early in the morning, but that pictures show it was worth it.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what that pic is..looks a bit like tire tracks.
Thanks for the warm pictures on a sleety wintery day. Looks like fish scales to me, but I have no clue!
ReplyDeleteWow!!! Those are some stunning photos! Enjoy and treasure every moment! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! I love Love LOVE sunrises...but getting up is not my greatest joy. =)
ReplyDeleteAs for the unique picture, hmmm. I'm going to say a chameleon sitting on the printed purse that you bought at the local market for some tropical flair. (seriously, I have no idea! Just my poor sense of humor)
Awesome pics!
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures. The sunrise is fantastic. As for the last picture, my vote is with those who said it's a fish. I look forward to seeing more of you holiday pics.
ReplyDeleteOH my. i wish I was there!
ReplyDeleteThe last pic looks like infared tire treds or something! Maybe the painted shell of a turtle on a mural?

I used to be 'not' a morning person, but things changed a bit when I joined this office- it starts from 8, I wake up very early these days... but I cannot say that it is entirely without rewards...

Look at the picture of the morning sky that I posted in my photoblog this week, absolutely worth waking up for :)
We did the same one morning in thailand....was great but was also great to go back to bed once the sun was up!
ReplyDeleteErm, are they prints of a tractor tyre in the sand?
C x
Lovely photos! And I'm not envious at all that you experienced this. Really. Even though we woke up to snow this morning.
ReplyDeleteAs for your mystery shot: That's a close up of your forehead after you neglected to use sunscreen the day you shot the sunrise.
Thanks for sharing the shots!
I'm not that jealous Sharon, :) since I'm living in Puerto Rico now. Enjoy DR. pretty pics.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics ... I'll say these are what you see after drinking too many Mai Tais.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the wonderful pictures, Sharon! It looks like a great trip. The last one looks like a design on a floor or outdoor walkway.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous piccies thank you!
ReplyDeleteI'm gasping at the pictures - especially the sunset ones!
ReplyDeleteMy guess is tire tracks.
