Venturing Out After The Blizzard....and Things I'm Thankful For...

 I love my husband!
 I love our snow blower!
I'm thankful our mail lady still delivers.  (Waves Janna!)
 I'm grateful to snowplows!
I'm glad our street sign is tall!
I'm thankful the grocery store has a snow plow too!
Isn't this a cool snow pile?
I'm thankful they had school today...Even if there were some parking issues.
I'm thankful our robin's nest has weathered another storm...

What are you thankful for today???

If you are doing the picture book marathon how are you doing?  I've done 2  so far...

  3. My goodness Sharon! You guys have been experiencing some awful weather.
And well done for doing two picture books and have fun:-)
I'm thankful for the interaction between you and all the wonderful folks within the great blogging community. In fact, I'm thankful that my life is good and I wish those who suffer and our vulnerable creatures, had a life as good as mine.
Take care and stay warm! Kind wishes, Gary :-)

  5. Oh my!

What a beautiful sight. I'd give anything for a healthy dumping of snow here in Auckland, New Zealand. It's hot!

I'm thankful for my fan not breaking down :)

  6. We got a lot of snow for our area, but nothing like what you have!

I'm thankful for my son and his buddy who did most of our shoveling yesterday. I'm also thankful we lost no power. And I'm mostly thankful for the new furnace we had put in, back in October, so we have been staying nice and warm this winter!

  7. Looks like you got as much as we did!
I'm thankful for my kind neighbors. One plowed my driveway for me (hubby out of town) and another snowblowed my sidewalk for me!
The kids are having a blast in this snow. It's been fun!

  11. When I see these pics is dejá-vous for me. Yesterday we had a snowstorm and today we had snowplows everywhere :0 It's nice to see you have such a positive attitude towards snow. I deal with it as best as I can ;) Truth be told, this winter has been mild up here, so I'm grateful for that.

  12. "I'm glad our street sign is tall" For some reason that really cracked me up. Your snow looks so pretty and new! Congrats on 2 picture books. AMAZING. Can you send me some of your productivity?

  13. I'm thankful the bad snowstorms (all except one last week) have all gone around us! But I'm sorry for those who are struggling, especially those who have lost power. I'm thankful we haven't lost ours so far this year. We had the biggie last winter, but not as bad as in the Chicago area where I have a niece and nephew. I'm thankful they and their families are safe.

Yes, you have a great husband! He really shoveled that out well!!

  17. WOW, those are some amazing pictures. I haven't seen that much snow since I was a kid. We were back in the mid-west last year and got to see quite a bit, which my kids LOVED! We never see snow here...sad for them, but I don't mind. =)
Hope you all continue to stay safe, warm, and that spring comes soon...

  18. I'm thankful that the groundhog predicted an early spring!

  20. Wow that's a lot of snow! We only got rain from that storm.

  21. Wow! The one that grabbed me was the snow piled around the signpost. It's gonna be real messy when it all begins to melt.

The world is wonderfully diverse! Here I am running the fan and feeling definitely steamy sitting by the window.

  22. That's crazy! It reminds me of our big snow last year. So pretty!

    Stay warm!

  23. Reminds me of some "snow times" we had in Alaska! I am grateful for our gentle winter here in the Northwest and for non-freezing water pipes. Just talked w/ my mom in S. Arizona and there are LOTS of frozen pipes, and no heat homes (gas problems) down there. Also YAY for Punxsatawney Phil's Prediction!

  24. Love the photos! Really captures the essence of the recent storms. We have mounds of snow like that at the end of our driveway too. What am I grateful for....Grateful the groundhog didn't see his shadow, so spring will be early! Right?

  29. These pics are so cool ... I was born and raised in Michigan so I can relate to the huge snow mounds. We used to make tunnels through them. Looking back, I see the danger as they could have collapsed under the wight of the snow above them.

  30. Wow, thats a lot of snow!!! But sooo pretty! Loved the pictures!!
I wish it was like that in here, but I guess this year winter is just too shy to really hit Switzerlad :)

  31. Your pictures bring back pleasant memories of my youth when we lived in Wisconsin built forts from snow mountains like the ones you saw. *sigh* :)

  32. Cute post! I'm thankful I don't have to deal with snow. But I love looking at pictures of it.

  37. Wow! That's a lot of snow. I'm grateful we have someone to plow the snow. Looks like more snow here today and we'll be staying in.

  38. I'm grateful for the nearly 30 degrees Mother Nature is giving us today...and in a couple more days I'm going to be REALLY grateful for a working furnace.

  40. I love your attitude about this! I live in south Florida, so I totally cannot relate to this kind of storm, but I'm glad you were able to look on the bright side.

  41. Cool pictures, Sharon! I'm glad you all managed to burrow out of all that snow! We're snowed in again today -- where I live, we're not used to snow at all. Wish we had snow plows, but we don't. So, we're homebound by force! :( I'm still thankful for my comfy chair and warm blanket which let me sit by the window and enjoy the show outside :).

  42. I was going to say 'cool pictures' but it seemed like over-kill! ha!

I love the look of all that chilly white4 but I suspect I would freeze to death from all my thin blood in Arizona.

    Stay cozy.

  43. I remember snows like that from when we lived in Nebraska. I'm thankful to live in the south where a bad snowstorm is about 3 inches!
