As we approach the holiday season, we are reminded to be thankful for our blessings. I look at my life and see that I have so many things to be thankful for.
- My family
- My almost decorated home. (I just have a bit more to go.)
- Old friends and new friends.
- Stripes surviving a near miss this fall.
- The luxury of being able to write at will, not on a forced timeline.
I'm thankful for my wife, my parents and friends. And I'm thankful that I currently I have the time and space in my life to write.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!
Oh, Paul...What a nice way to say it. :) Have a wonderful holiday.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog. But I'm curious what the picture is of. So cool. Love the colors and shimmer outline!
ReplyDeleteJudith--Thanks for stopping by. :) The painting is one I did about five years ago. I loved the house we were living in and I painted the picture using the colors of our old house. I'm glad I did it, especially since we moved eighteen months ago. I have it in my office.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Thanksgiving, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for my writer friends. I depend on them so much.
ReplyDeleteAmy--I'm thankful to my friend who insisted I send a story to a non-paying market...and I ended up getting paid. :) Thanks, friend!
ReplyDeleteKelly--You have a great one too. My sister from England (who is studying in the US) is coming and so are our Danish friends. It should be a good time.
ReplyDeleteEverything I've ever had published made me feel so much more empowered. Even if they didn't pay, they made a difference to ME and told me I was a good writer...even months afterward. :)
ReplyDeleteAmy--Yes, you were right! (Happy face) But thanks to all of my friends, I'm going to get paid.
ReplyDeleteThe list is endless! But the imediate things are:
ReplyDelete1. My love relationship with my Heavenly Father
2. Adorable husband
3. Delightful children
4. Church
5. Great friends
6. Writing
7. Blogging
I'll stop at seven because that's my favorite number.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Tamika,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. You have a great blog and a wonderful outlook on life. Sometimes I forget the big picture and that we are all put here with a purpose. I am grateful for all of my blessings and I know where they all come from.
Have a safe and happy holiday.
I'm grateful for so many of the things already listed here - but would add:
ReplyDeletehealth
change of seasons
freedom/country
we are so blessed. happy thanksgiving, Sharon!
Your #5 resonates with me. Every time I sit to write a bit, I have to pinch myself. No heavy deadlines, to head banging against the wall (yet), just pure, unthinking joy. And I'm grateful.
ReplyDeletePS: Thank you for visiting my blog. Stop by anytime, the chocolate waffles are calorie free!
Sharon, thanks for visiting my blog. :)
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for Jesus. My family, animals, though my beloved cat passed away almost two weeks ago, I'm thankful for the time that I had with him and I KNOW I'll see him again soon. And for this great country I live in.
