Anticipation...It's making me wait.

One of the hardest things in writing it the waiting...
Waiting to get your manuscript perfectly polished...
Waiting to make your query letter perfect...
Waiting to hear back from the houses or agents you queried...
Waiting to get the ever covenanted contract...
It's enough to drive a writer crazy!

So that's where I am today...waiting on more than one front.

What are you waiting for?

  1. Waiting is so much a part of this industry! I'm waiting for my skill level to rise and give me the confidence to push to the next step! :)

  3. Waiting is definitely hard! It can either drive you crazy or teach you patience, hopefully the latter!

  4. i'm waiting for the ketchup to come out so i can eat my french fries. lol for sure waiting is hard for writers but eventually things happen when they're supposed to. like other hard stuff in life you have to take it one day at a time.

  5. Hi Sharon - we wait and then things happen, rather faster than we expect ... love Lenny's thought about the ketchup and the french fries ... maybe that's why patience is a virtue ... have a peaceful Autumn - cheers Hilary

Ah the waiting game and the twiddling of thumbs. You'll be fine. And yes, it's high time I ketchup with my commenting.

Have a nice weekend, my kind friend.

  9. Waiting is definitely hard. It's always best to keep busy, to distract yourself. All the best. I hope you get that agent and contract soon.

  11. Since George has been sick, we've learned it's all a waiting game to get insurance approval for tests, then wait for the appointments to be scheduled, then wait for the results of the tests, then wait some more. We're used to it now, kind of, but it's extremely irritating when waiting for the results of a life-or-death test.

  12. I would be going crazy if I had so many things to wait for. I think you are doing well. Luckily I'm not waiting on anything at the moment, maybe a hot beverage, but that's it. I hope you hear some news soon.
