This Is It! The Easiest Yummiest Seafood Chowder...
So the photo isn't seafood chowder. I didn't have a photo of the chowder, but let's face it chowder isn't that pretty.
2 cans - cream of potato soup
2 cans - milk
1 small onion (chopped)
1 package of pepper jack cheese (chopped)
1 can - crab meat
1lb - shrimp without tails
Combine, heat and serve. Great with french bread and a salad.
This is really tasty and easy. I hope you take the time to try it. Let me know if you cook it and if you like it. My pastor, Jon White, sent it to me several months ago. Everyone I have served it to, has asked for the recipe and have served it and passed the on recipe.

One of our Christmas Eve traditions is dinner. My husband makes a pot of homemade chili and a pot of seafood chowder, and then everyone joins us at our house before church. I'll pass along this recipe. Maybe we'll be trying a new chowder recipe this year! :)

Cool tradition. I make two versions at my house, one with the seafood in it and no onions and one with onions and no seafood. This sooo easy!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds soooo good.
ReplyDeleteI forgot...add pepper to taste. It is really good. Next time I can't come up with a comment I'll post my Costa Rican Rice dish. It's really good, but requires a lot of chopping. Thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteVery cool idea! Now, go do some writing. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Amy. You are my ever favorite cattle proder. (I'm not sure if that is the correct spelling...)

ReplyDeleteOooh, yummy! I just looked up a seafood chowder recipe the other day on allrecipes.com, but adding the pepper jack cheese would really make it pop. And who doesn't love cheese?
ReplyDeleteKaren--Thanks for stopping by. This is such an easy dish. We love it. You can even add a few crushed peppers if you want to make it a bit spicier. Serve it in bread bowls if you want to look like an expert.
ReplyDeleteThis looks so good! It's making me hungry right now.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and leaving a comment on my blog. You can wear shorts for winter?! Wow. Lucky! The only thing I don't like about winter is the cold. Either than that, I love snow!
Sum--Thanks for stopping by. Ummm, you don't like the cold. Your profile says you want to go to Antarctica....You might want to build up to that experience.
ReplyDeleteIt turned cold today. We have a chance of snow a couple days this week. I can't wait!
