  1. Am I supposed to say, Polo...?

That photo looks like it could have been taken at a park near my house. It's almost eerily similar. ;-)

  3. Thanks for visiting my blog yesterday, Sharon! I really like yours! How fun to come across a fellow teacher (you never really stop being one), mother, wife and writer living in Iowa...there can't be many of us!

  5. Hi Sharon- Thanks for the comment/question on my blog. My potential beta readers are 2 sisters, 1 mom, 1 husband, 1 brother-in-law, 1 mother-in-law, 1 old friend from college with a meticulous personality, 1 new friend from science fiction/fantasy online writers workshop that I regularly trade crits with, and about 5 friends from church but probably only two of them are really serious about wanting to read it (just guessing- I don't know which ones won't be up to it.) I think a lot of people are just curious and may not understand how much time it will take to give feedback. When I crit a chapter in the workshop I usually spend an hour or more. So 34 chapters is asking a lot. If I get back 4-5 critiques, I'll be happy. Good luck finding yours!

  6. Katie--Have you gone to the UI Summer Writer's Workshop in Iowas City? Are you in SCBWI IA? Most of my writing connections are in Saint Louis or my critique group that goes from the East Coast to almost the West Coast.

Lee--Thank you that was so sweet of you. :)

Kelly--I get it, a Beta Reader is a critiquer. You can know them or not know them. :) Thanks for the explanation.
